Color Hop
A fun gross motor activity where toddlers hop or crawl to different colors, building coordination, balance, and color recognition.
Materials
- Colored construction paper
- Marker
- Tape
Instructions
- Place colored paper on the floor and label each one.
- Show your toddler how to move to a color when it is called.
- Call out a color.
- Have your toddler hop or crawl to the matching color.
Tips
Model the movement once first, then let your toddler repeat it at their own pace before making it more challenging.
