Materials
- One container for soapy water
- One for rinsing
- A dish towel
- A sponge
- Toy dishes (or real ones)
Instructions
- Show your toddler how to wash a dish with a sponge.
- Have your toddler wash the dishes in soapy water.
- Show your toddler how to rinse the dishes.
- Have your toddler rinse and dry the dishes.
Tips
Start with just one or two dishes so your toddler can focus on each step. As they become more confident, add more dishes and encourage them to complete the full wash, rinse, and dry sequence on their own.
