Flower Anatomy Sorting
Take apart flowers and sort their parts to help toddlers explore plant anatomy through hands-on STEM learning.
Materials
- Flowers
- Three sorting jars
- Masking tape
- Marker
- Tray
Instructions
- Label jars “leaf,” “stem,” and “petal.”
- Show your toddler how to separate the flower parts.
- Have your toddler place each part into the correct jar.
- Encourage your toddler to name each part as they sort.
Tips
Start with two clear groups first, then add more pieces once your toddler understands how to sort them.
