Making Play-Doh

Make homemade Play-Doh with your toddler using simple ingredients for colorful, hands-on sensory play and early STEM learning.

Materials

Flour
Salt
Cream of tartar
Vegetable oil
Water
Food coloring
Mixing bowl
Spoon
Saucepan

Instructions

Show your toddler how to pour and measure the ingredients into a bowl.
Have your toddler help mix the ingredients together.
Heat the mixture in a saucepan while your toddler observes the changes.
Allow the mixture to cool, then have your toddler knead the Play-Doh.
Add food coloring and let your toddler mix and explore.
