Construction paper, scissors, marker, and glue
Prepare ahead of time by drawing an outline of a sunflower. Cut strips of construction paper in yellow, brown, and green. Show your child a picture of the final product and have them call out each color. Have your toddler cut small squares from the paper strips, then glue the squares onto the sunflower. We enjoyed crumpling the paper; either way, it looks like a work of art!
